Actually, sometimes, I believe that I have perhaps lived a nomadic life. Travelling from one place to another, settling to a place then going another place somewhere. So, why do I travel? Here, I am with Paulo Coehlo's insight: 'I realized very early on that, for me, travelling was the best way of learning. I still have a pilgrim soul, and I thought that I would pass on some of the lessons I have learned, in the hope that they might prove useful to other pilgrims like me'. (Paulo Coehlo, 'Travelling Differently', in Like the Flowing River, 2006.) He goes on to enumerate and elaborate his advice on travelling differently: 1. Avoid museums. 2. Hang out in bars. 3. Be open. 4. Try to travel alone or - if you are married - with your spouse. 5. Don't compare. 6. Understand that everyone understands you. 7. Don't buy too much. 8.
